In a democratic, but developing country like India, the goal of education should be “Intelligence plus Character”. This is possible only through “True Education” which provides for the fullest possible development of each learner for living creatively, morally and productively.
Integrating these ideas in the motto as —Revolution in the life of learner and a revolution in education has always to go together. To achieve this, education has to be totally socialized and humanized.
Keeping this constructive ideas at the back of mind —The INDIAN INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION, (IIE), Pune, was founded by the legendary educationist and lover of humanity, Padma Bhushan J.P. Naik in 1948. Later on, the mission of the I.I.E. was taken ahead by his life-partner Dr. Chitra Naik with the same set of humanist principles i.e. “Education for all” and “Health for all”.
Presently the Indian Institute of Education is working on possibility of imparting Positive Education through non-formal mode. Because it is being observed that Natural and Incidental mode of education i.e. informal education results in modification of behavior/ attitude of the learner. Especially unethical social events may cause in developing negative attitudes amongst the youth, which some time result in mental health problems.
Positive Education can be imparted through non-formal mode. The use of positive Psychology within education is known as Positive Education. Positive Education is effective not only for academic success but strengthening inner drive for meaningful life and well being of community by reducing mental health problems.

Academically Dr. Adsool holds a Doctorate in Physics (microscopy) along with a Masters degree in Philosophy (spectroscopy). These degrees were followed by a Master’s degree in education, all from the University Of Pune. Besides this, Dr. Adsool also bagged the much coveted Gold Medal from the Shivaji University during his master’s degree. He was appointed as the Member of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (Government of Maharashtra). Prior to that Dr. Adsool was serving as the Principal of Vidya Pratishthan’s ASC College and was a senior member of the University of Pune’s Management council. He has held several key academic and administrative posts including Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Chairman Standing Committee and Director Student’s welfare at the University of Pune. Apart from this Dr. Adsool is an honorable part of various high power committees including UGC (India), NAAC (Banglore) as well as the Sub Committee of the Planning Commission of India Government
