The mouthpiece of Indian Institute of Education namely, Education and Society, a Peer reviewed print quarterly journal, publishes articles, research papers in Marathi, Hindi and English languages. This journal has ISSN 2278-6864.

Annual subscription charges are Rs. 400/-. Payments can be sent by MO/DD/ RTGS/ NEFT. DD may be drawn in favour of “Indian Institute of Education” payable at Pune. We have maintained the following account to credit the subscription fees.

Guidelines to Authors

“शिक्षण आणि समाज” (Education and Society) a Peer Reviewed Quarterly journal invites high-quality research articles on topics in Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Interdisciplinary studies along with science education. We publish Conceptual Papers, Empirical Studies, Book Reviews and Discussions, Case Studies, and Commentaries on the above subjects in English, Marathi & Hindi. Please note that the articles related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Commerce, and Management are not accepted. Research papers should be submitted to educationandsociety1977@gmail.com


Instructions for Paper Submission:
The acceptable length for the paper shall be between 2000-3000 words including Abstract, Keywords, Main body, Endnotes/ Footnotes, and References. For Book Review it shall be between 1000-1500 words.

For English, the title of the paper should be in 11-point, Times New Roman font. It should be typed in bold, at the centre, and full capital. Manuscripts should be typed in Times New Roman font size 10, with 1.5 line spacing. The manuscript of a paper should have a separate cover page providing the title of the paper, the name, and details of the author and co-authors (maximum 2), affiliated institutions, mobile/ landline numbers, and e-mail addresses along with postal addresses.

  • For Devnagari, the title of the paper should be in 14-point font and 12 points for the manuscript in Unicode font with 1.5 line spacing.
  • The research paper may strictly include a minimal number of graphs, tables, and diagrams.
  • References in articles should be written according to the style prescribed in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) 8th Edition.
  • Research articles shall be accepted throughout the year.
  • Processing fees shall be charged after due procedural review and selection of the article for publication.
