About the Journal – Education and Society
The mouthpiece of Indian Institute of Education namely, ‘Education and Society’ (शिक्षण आशण
समाज), a Peer-reviewed Quarterly Journal (Print only), publishes articles, research papers in
Marathi, Hindi and English languages. This journal has ISSN 2278-6864. The journal
publishes high-quality research articles on topics in Education, Social Sciences, Humanities,
and Interdisciplinary studies along with science education.

- Should be a holder of Ph.D. degree from a recognized university.
- Should be an author with a minimum of a five publications in Scopus/UGC-Care Listed/ Peer-Reviewed Journals.
- It is critical that you are a reader of 2 - 3 journals that are most central to your area(s) of research. Please mention the journals that you are regularly reading, and where these journals are indexed as current knowledge of recently published research provides a reviewer critical knowledge base to evaluate a submission.
- Reviewing a manuscript requires substantial investment of time. Hence, please choose to become a Reviewer only if you can invest the time on a regular basis

Call for Papers
‘Education and Society’ a Peer Reviewed Quarterly journal invites high-quality research articles on topics in Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Interdisciplinary studies along with science education. We publish Conceptual Papers, Empirical Studies, Book Reviews and Discussions, Case Studies, and Commentaries on the above subjects in English, Marathi & Hindi. Authors and contributors can submit their manuscripts to the journal at any time during the year. Please also note that the articles related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Commerce, and Management are not accepted. Research papers should be submitted to educationandsociety1977@gmail.com.
Author Guidelines
The acceptable length for the paper manuscript shall be between 2000-3000 words including Abstract, Keywords, Main body, Endnotes/ Footnotes, and References. For Book Review it shall be between 1000-1500 words. For English, the title of the paper should be in 11-point, Times New Roman font. It should be typed in bold, at the centre, and full capital. Manuscripts should be typed in Times New Roman font size 10, with 1.5 line spacing. The manuscript of a paper should have a separate cover page providing the title of the paper, the name, and details of the author and co-authors (maximum 2), affiliated institutions, mobile/ landline numbers, and e-mail addresses along with postal addresses.
- For Devnagari, the title of the paper should be in 14-point font and 12 points for the manuscript in Google Unicode font with 1.5 line spacing.
- The research paper may strictly include a minimal number of graphs, tables, and diagrams.
- References in articles should be written according to the style prescribed in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) 8th Edition.
- Plagiarism Policy: ‘Education and Society’ Journal will judge any case of plagiarism on its limits. If plagiarism is detected by the editorial board member, reviewer, editors etc., in any stage of article process- before or after acceptance, during editing or at a page proof stage. We will alert the same to the author(s) and will ask them to rewrite the content or to cite the references from where the content has been taken. If more than 25% of the paper is plagiarized- the article may be rejected and the same is notified to the author. The Journal has a plagiarism threshold of less than 10 percent. This implies that submitted papers should not contain more than 10 percent of text from existing sources that is either verbatim or closely paraphrased through AI generated paraphrasing tools. Any content that exceeds this limit may be considered plagiarized and rejected.
- The article processing fees shall be charged after due procedural review and selection of the article for publication.
- All the articles submitted for publication in ‘Education and Society’ Journal are peer reviewed for authenticity, ethical issues and usefulness. Decision of the reviewers shall be final. Authors are solely responsible for originality of the published work.
